I’m Anna Lipsane Heatherley, the artist behind the paintings you see here, each one a little piece of my heart, shaped in colour and texture.

My story

First things first- I paint because I can’t not paint. It’s how I breathe, how I listen, how I speak to the world and to myself. Art feeds my soul garden , it’s my way of tending to life.

I was born in Latvia and since 2017 have called Australia home. My studio rests among the trees in the Dandenong Ranges , my sanctuary, where the light and silence become part of the work. I’m a self-taught artist. It’s been a long, winding journey to find my voice and my rhythm.

My paintings always carry the stories I live through- things I feel, notice, question, and grow from. Right now, my focus is on Stories of Humanity, a body of work close to my heart, inspired by shared threads that connect us all.
