First nourishment for most of us.Women — so magical, so strong, and yet our breasts are still seen primarily as sexual body parts.This painting represents something uniquely ours: the bodies that all of us were born from and nourished by. The stories held in them — of love, happiness, grief, strength and vulnerability, all at once.This work also became quite a scandal.After I shared the painting, its process and the story behind it, my account was restricted by Meta. The artwork was classified under their guidelines for “sexually or suggestive content”, despite its subject being motherhood and breastfeeding.
